Description
Springbank Distillery has always been one for doing things the best way, never mind the cost. Floor malting, bottling all done on site. No chill filtering, no colouring. Longrow was originally created by the chairman of the distillery, to prove that they could produce a whisky that could match the Islay drams in terms of peatiness and smokiness. it was so good, it became part of the range.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – The smoke develops gradually, with aromas of marshmallows and a general creaminess balancing the smoke. Fruitness and a herb note appear over time.
Palate – Rich and creamy at first, then wave after wave of smoke with a little dash of iodine.
