Winemaker Andrew Quady wanted to create a wine that celebrated the intense aromas and spicy fruit flavours of the rare Orange Muscat grapes, and with Essensia, he has captured this very essence. This sweet wine is full-bodied with a rich golden colour and brings forth spicy orange, apricot and pear flavours with a balanced acidity and long, lingering finish, enticing you to go back for one more sip.
It’s a magnificent accompaniment to decadent desserts such as chocolate salted caramel tart, lemon meringue pie and apple tart tatin. Or try simply dipping with biscotti, serving alongside goat’s cheese or drizzling over cakes (just imagine the extra citrus hit this would give a lemon drizzle cake!). But don’t stop there, this wine can also be used in place of liqueur to create some remarkable cocktails for any celebratory occasion.
