Glenallachie's eagerly anticipated batch 8 of their limited release 10 year old cask strength is a showpiece of brilliant cask management. Master Blender Billy Walker uses whisky from PX and Oloroso puncheons, as well as Rioja and new oak casks to create this Speyside beauty, bottled with no added colour and no chill filtration.
Tasting Notes
Nose – Bursting with mocha, nutmeg and walnut oil, with notes of heather honey, sweet raisins and dried red berries.
Palate – Lashings of cinnamon spice, molasses and honeycomb, followed by ginger and dark chocolate, with hints of nutmeg and fennel on the finish.
