Description
Brothers in Arms is very much a family concern. As the owners, Guy & Liz Adams are involved in all aspects of the business on a daily basis. It’s not surprising really as they live on the vineyard only 2 minutes down the road to the winery.
The homestead is the hub of everything as well as being the domain of their 2 children, Myles & Emily. They are the 6th Generation to live at Metala and are the inspiration for many things, including the No.6 label.
“As we continue to be the custodians of the Metala property our vision moving forward is to respect the lessons learned in the past while seeking out innovative approaches to our future.”
Winemaking
18 months in tank with a small percentage of the wine spending a short time in French oak.
Tasting Note
Pale golden in colour, exuding an inviting elegance. Aroma offers a tropical paradise with ripe pineapple, succulent mango, and subtle peach and citrus notes, enhanced by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. The palate harmoniously balances fruitiness and sophistication, with pineapple, mango, and pear flavours, a creamy texture, and integrated oak. Well-balanced acidity adds vibrancy, and the finish leaves a long, delightful aftertaste.
Goes well with
It pairs wonderfully with seafood, grilled prawns, crab cakes, scallops, roasted chicken, and creamy sauced dishes.
Cellaring
Drink now while she’s super fresh but can be cellar for up to 2 years.
