Description
Legend Of Dracula Negru de Dragasani & Merlot dry is a dry red wine with 14.50% alcohol content, a blend obtained from two red grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes.
The Negru de Dragasani grape variety was obtained at the Dragasani viticultural research station by individual selection, being a hybrid homologated in 1993 between the Negru Vartos and Saperavi varieties (native vine of Georgia, used especially in blending to obtain quality red wines). The grape has black-blue color, with red, juicy, unaromatic pulp and frank taste. The wines obtained are dry, rougher, of a striking red, with taste and aroma of black cherries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries and spices, are suitable for aging in oak barrels and then in glass. Merlot, a black grape variety first cultivated in France, is now present almost everywhere in the world. Having Cabernet Franc as ancestor and close relative Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot is a versatile, round-tasting variety that produces silky red wines with medium, fine structure, plum and blackberry aroma and high maturation potential. From merlot grapes are usually made dry wines, with a strength between 12-12.5%.
