Morocello is our blood orange liqueur, made using only 100 % Sicilian Moro blood oranges right in our Sheffield distillery.
Every Nonna makes a limoncello, and Cynthia’s was no different. Inspired by memories of sipping small amounts from her Nonna’s glass on special occasions, Cynthia wanted to create a new version of this old favourite. Swapping lemons for blood oranges, Morocello takes the familiar citrus flavours of traditional limoncello, but introduces a layered and intricate flavour profile.
A bold addition to the Locksley Core Range, our Morocello is a rich with unique citrus and crafted using only real fruit imported from Sicily. We annually process our fruit in line with harvest seasons, so each batch keeps its fresh and vibrant characteristics, and doesn’t compromise on flavour.
Morocello tastes great on its own as an aperitif, and can be worked into a wide menu of cocktails and other drinks:
Try it straight from the fridge, chilled.
Blend with soda water or lemonade for a long drink.
Drop into a hot chocolate for a warming addition.
We only use real fruit in our Morocello, and so the colour may drop out after a while – this is a blood orange liqueur that’s meant to be enjoyed fresh!
